Similarities Between Federal and State Governments
Each of the three branches that make up the state and federal governments may seem that they have no correlation between each other, however each of the three branches are all connected. In both the state and federal governments, each branch corresponds with one another day in and day out and work jointly together. The three branches include: legislative, executive, and judicial branches. Each of the branches communicate with one other by using the powers that the specific branch has. In the judicial and executive branches, both the federal and state governments exchange their viewpoints on what each branch has constructed. For example, the legislative branch can make the laws and rules and the executive branch can veto law that was proposed by the legislative branch.

How Can You Be Involved In The Government?
- Citizens can become involved in each of the branches by voting. You can vote of your choice the President, Senator, and Representative who you believe best represents your government and your political beliefs.
- Citizens can also be involved by keeping their representatives educated of our opinions by phone, letter, or email.
- Lastly, citizens can become involved in the government by working at the local levels (city, town) to makes their ideas heard by the people.
